This is one of the Best Italian Restaurants in Kentucky. It features “Chopped” winner Chef Josh Moore, who is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. We have had just about everything on the menu, and I say this all the time but, “I have never had anything that didn’t taste great”! Chef Moore is not only a great chef but a farmer. Yep, he has a farm and grows all his own produce for the restaurant. He also sources fresh fish every week, and publishes a very striking and cool picture on social media every week for all to see.
The appetizers are a must here and I’ve literally never had better Mussels (a frequent special), though the Beef Carpaccio, Calamari, Bruschetta and the slightly charred Caesar Salad are the best. The pastas are all tremendous and made with duck eggs which adds a unique richness of flavor. I always have a hard time not having the Pappardelle, while my wife can’t help herself from often enjoying the Sea Bass which is also frequently a special. With that said, we think the Osso Bucco, Saltimbocca, Bolognese, Roasted Duck, Braised Short Ribs and Steaks are all very special.
Desserts are also always a treat, both in taste and in presentation. (Our granddaughters look forward to the dessert designs more than anything.
Lastly, the wait service is always extraordinary but we have had disappointing problems with reservation confusion, those who have handled the hosting station and illogical explanations for the confusion. With that said however, the food is always the star here.
