For as long as we can remember, we’ve had a deep-seated affection for tuna salad, and it’s amusing that we never shared a recipe for it until now. After countless trials and taste tests, we finally discovered what we believe to be the quintessential recipe. This version is refreshingly crisp, with a hint of spice that adds a delightful kick, and it’s incredibly simple to prepare. You can even also add to this recipe by simply adding your favorite chopped apples, fresh corn kernels, or even frozen peas (1/4 cup each), but the choice is yours.
Whether nestled between slices of hearty bread for a sandwich, spread generously on a piece of golden-brown toast, or served as a dip alongside a selection of your favorite crunchy crackers, it’s the perfect choice for any occasion.
Lastly, a little tip. Don’t substitute. Yellow onions are not the same as red. Go-Chu-Jang sauce is not the same as siracha. Gerkins, dill or sweet relish are not the same as Famous Dave’s Sweet and Spicy, and regular vinegar is not the same as red wine vinegar. Just Sayin.
