Anoosh Bistro gets our nod as the best fine dining establishment in Louisville. Having now dined there many times, it occurred to us that every dish we ever had was delightful, always had a host or hostess greet us even before we opened the door, wait service that is perfectly attentive and bar service that seems immediate.

Anoosh Bistro, 4864 Brownsboro Road, is owned and run by Anoosh Shariat. He is well recognized as a culinary giant in Louisville but what we think is sometimes taken for granted is his hard work and dedication. We have never been to Anoosh Bistro, or his other delicious breakfast and lunch place Noosh Nosh (best Hot Brown and Pizza in Louisville), where we haven’t seen him making sure everything is perfect for customers, and very often saying hello personally and checking in with patrons.

Anoosh Bistro offers a cuisine that frankly cannot be found elsewhere. On our recent visit we started with veal sweetbreads and a shrimp julip (with pappy maple syrup). We followed that with entrees of seabass and veal scallopini that came with a knock your socks off risotto, plus their delicious creme brulee covered with fresh berries for dessert. Everything was so good it seemed to melt in your mouth. It was enough to make a grown man cry, and in my case make sure the plates were spotless when finished!

To us, they seem to mix southern style cooking with a more international flair and classic cooking techniques. We also find that, as former vegans, both vegan and vegetarian offerings are not some contrived fill the blank offerings as seen at many restaurants, but instead delicious sounding fully constructed dishes.

So, if you want the best of the best, and perfect surrounding service experiences, we believe you can’t go wrong visiting a great guy and a great restarant in Anoosh Bistro. Our favorite and top choice in Louisville Kentucky.
