If you are like us, this is the time of year we have so many tomatoes we don’t know what to do with them. After giving as many away to neighbors as possible, we make and freeze our marinara sauce, our pizza sauce and make pitchers of Bloody Marys. (Big surprise right?)
Today, we thought we would share our best Bloody Mary mix using our garden tomatoes.
4 Cups of Tomato Juice made from fresh Tomatoes
6 Tablespoons of High Quality Grated Horse Radish
4 Tablespoons of Worcestershire Sauce
1 Chopped Jalapeno Pepper
1 Tablespoon of your favorite Hot Sauce
1 Teaspoon of Kosher Salt
1 Teaspoon of Celery Salt
1/2 a Teaspoon of Celery Seed
2 Tablespoons of Fresh Lime Juice
2 Tablespoons of Fresh Orange Juice
5 Queen Size Green Olives with Pimentos
1 teaspoon of course Pepper
1/2 Teaspoon of Garlic Powder
1/2 teaspoon of Smoked Paprika
- Place all tomatoes in a blender, or use an immersion blender in a large bowl, and blend to a fully juiced state.
- Strain into another container to obtain the 4 cups of tomato juice.
- Add juice to all other ingredients and again blend to desired consistency.
- Add ice, Vodka, Bourbon or desired alcohol and garnish.
